How can we support you with your AI project for the common good?

The Civic Data Lab supports you with your project to use data for the common good. In the data consultation hour, the team will answer your questions about data, help you with strategic positioning and orientation and advise you on the design and implementation of your own data projects. We support projects in the following areas:
- Democracy and diversity, prevention of antisemitism, racism, discrimination and extremism
- Engagement and digital participation
- Digital sovereignty and youth and media protection
- Access to consulting services and benefits
- Dementia and care in old age, demographic change
- (Economic) equality
- Compatibility of family and career

The experts at the AI workshop of ideas will advise you online or in person on use cases and datasets for your project. You can get help with data collection, processing and analysis, and learn more about data science and machine learning.
We support projects in the following areas:

Until 01.09.2025 you can apply for the Civic Coding project consulting. You will receive up to 30 hours of 1-to-1 online expert consulting and hands-on support for your AI project for the common good in the areas of artificial intelligence, data, strategy and organization.
Your AI project for the common good must cover at least one of the subject areas of the three federal ministries, the BMAS, the BMFSFJ the BMUV. The fields of action are the following:
